Labradorite is an opaque greenish-grey to black stone with flashes of blue, green or gold. The colourful flashes in Labradorite are caused by light reflecting off of the inner layers of the stone, this effect is known as “schiller” in stones and is referred to as “labradorescence” in Labradorite.  Believed to have protective and strengthening energies.
