kumihimo aids

Kumihimo is the Japanese art of braid making and can be accomplished with or without using the addition of beads to create beautiful jewellery.

Foam kumihimo discs are a lightweight, portable and more affordable option to the traditional marudai. You can still create complex braids using up to 24 bobbins with thin cords or even wire. We recommend a sturdy double-thickness disc that doesn't bend as easily, therefore lessening the chance of an uneven tension.
