Drop beads (or fringe beads) are tear drop shaped glass beads that have a single hole at the top, causing them to hang when strung on thread or wire. There are also long drops which have an elongated shape similar to a grain of rice. Drop beads come in 3 sizes: 2.8mm, 3.4mm and long 3 x 5.5mm. These beads are perfect for bead weaving, adding details to designs and creating fringe.  

2.8mm drop beads (DP28) measure 2mm x 2.8mm with a hole size of .65mm. Count is approximately 36 beads per gram.

3.4mm drop beads (DP) measure 3mm x 3.4mm with a hole size of .65mm. Count is approximately 18 beads per gram.

3mm x 5.5mm long drop beads (LDP) have a hole size of .8mm. Count is approximately 13 beads per gram.
